BEST TIME TO CLIMB
January to March and June to October are ideal. These months offer the best weather conditions: clear skies, dry trails, and optimal summit visibility. January-March tends to be quieter on the mountain, while June-October offers the most stable weather and stunning sunsets.
TRIP DETAILS
Day 1: Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (2,743m)
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to TarangireNational Park for a game drive with your picnic Lunch. Search for large prides of lion and elephant herds, driving through the baobab tree lined park to explore the silale swamp, returning to your Hotel for Dinner and overnight.


Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m)
Pass into moorland landscapes. Have lunch at Kambi ya Taabu, and enjoy sweeping views of Mawenzi and Kibo peaks.


Day 3: Acclimatization Day
Hike to Mawenzi Hut and Zebra Rocks. Return to Horombo Hut for rest and elevation adaptation.


Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (4,750m)
Enter the Alpine Desert zone. Fill water bottles at the last water point. Prepare for the night summit push.


Day 5: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and return to Horombo
Start your ascent at 11:30 pm. Reach Gilman’s Point and then Uhuru Peak by sunrise. After photos and celebration, descend to Horombo for a hearty dinner.


Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
Trek through cloud forests to the gate. Celebrate with summit certificates and return to Arusha.
